THE Queen will miss the Epsom Derby tomorrow because of her ongoing health issues, Buckingham Palace confirmed today.

This is the second engagement Her Majesty, 96, has canceled over her jam-packed Platinum Jubilee Bank Holiday.

The monarch, who has been experiencing episodic mobility problems, was not expected to attend the major sporting event and is likely to watch the race on television at Windsor Castle.

It comes after Her Majesty didn’t attend the Service of Thanksgiving this morning after gleaming on the Buckingham Palace balcony on Thursday.

And Kate Middleton today revealed the Queen was “fine” but had found the first day of the celebrations “very tiring”.

The monarch had watched Trooping the Color as she beamed alongside her family on the balcony – as cheeky Prince Louis kept her company.

At a reception at London’s Guildhall on Friday, the Duchess of Cambridge is said to have told an attendee the Queen is “fine” but had found the day “very tiring”.

Gill Smallwood, from Bolton spoke, with Kate and asked how the Queen was doing.

Ms Smallwood said: “She (Kate) said ‘yes, she was fine, it was just very tiring yesterday, and she (the Queen) had had a lovely, lovely time’.”

And now she also won’t attend the Epsom Derby as she saves up her energy for the Jubilee celebrations.

It’s the second time in two days she has been forced to withdraw her attendance because of her ongoing discomfort and mobility.

The passionate horse lover, who has only missed the Derby four times in 75 years, previously ensured three of her best horses could compete in the race on her Jubilee – giving her the best chance yet of bagging the trophy.

But last month her three-year-old colt Reach For The Moon was ruled out of her favorite race in a cruel blow.

Phil White, London regional director for The Jockey Club, said: “We would like to wish Her Majesty The Queen a wonderful Platinum Jubilee.

“It is a rare occasion that the Queen is unable to join us at Epsom Downs but we are delighted she plans to enjoy Derby Day on television.

“We have big plans to celebrate Her Majesty’s contribution to horseracing and the nation, and these will continue in full tomorrow.

“The Derby is a unique race and we are looking forward to welcoming people in their thousands to help us create a spectacular carnival atmosphere.”

Tomorrow also coincides with her great-grandchild’s first birthday – little Lilibet – who has traveled from California for the Queen’s Jubilee weekend.

REST UP, MA’AM

Rumors have suggested that Her Maj may spend the day with her family – including Meghan, Harry, and their children – instead of at the races.

But insiders also claim that the tot has already met her namesake at Windsor Castle on Thursday.

On Thursday, Her Majesty beamed as she watched the RAF celebrations overhead, surrounded by her immediate family.

The sunny sky turned red, white and blue following an impressive display from the Red Arrows as 71 aircraft took flight over London.

Prince Andrew, Prince Harry and Meghan were noticeably absent after Her Majesty limited the line-up to working royals only.

After yesterday’s event, it was announced she would be pulling out of the St Paul’s service on Friday morning because of her discomfort during the daytime.

She decided not to attend today with “great reluctance”.
