Marvel&#8217;s Spider-Man is far and away the biggest series in Sony&#8217;s stable, with Insomniac Games&#8217; two superhero themed titles combining to sell 33 million copies, as of 15th May.  That&#8217;s a truly jaw-dropping number: we&#8217;re talking peak Nintendo and Rockstar numbers here.  Remember that there have only been <em>two<\/em> titles in the franchise thus far &#8211; Marvel&#8217;s Spider-Man and Marvel&#8217;s Spider-Man: Miles Morales &#8211; and they&#8217;ve been exclusive to just the PS5 and PS4.  They&#8217;ll launch on PC later this year and will presumably sell many millions more copies there.<\/p>\n<p>Spider-Man is, of course, the hottest superhero on the planet &#8211; and he&#8217;s recently seen his popularity soar once more thanks to Tom Holland&#8217;s take on the character.  But it&#8217;s important to remember that Activision was making Spider-Man games for years, and they never came close to matching these numbers &#8211; that&#8217;s testament to both great marketing from Sony and superb execution from Insomniac Games.
