The San Francisco Giants will continue their road trip in Florida Saturday afternoon as they take on the Miami Marlins in game three of four for this series. San Francisco comes into Saturday four games above .500 in the year writing a two game losing streak following a 3-0 loss to these Marlins in game one of the series. Alex Wood got to start for San Francisco giving up two runs on four hits across 5.1 innings of work leading to the loss.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Mike Yastrzemski leads the way for the San Francisco offense with a .293 batting average, while Thairo Estrada leads the team with 46 hits on the year. The Miami Marlins continue a homestand Saturday seven games below .500 on the year following the win in the opening game of this series. Sandy Alcantarra continued his tear through the National League giving up no runs on three hits through seven innings of work leading to the victory. The Miami bullpen shined as well allowing no hits and no runs over the final two innings of the game.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Offensively Miami struggled from the plate with only seven hits in 38 bats as a team including an abysmal 2-9 with runners in scoring position to leave six men on base.
