This afternoon, four-star big man Devin Williams trimmed his number of options down to a final list of five schools. Arizona, Texas Tech, UCLA, UNLVand USC all made the cut for the 6-foot-10 athletic power forward put of Corona (Calif.) Centennial.

Williams has yet to take an official visit. However his first summer trip by him is scheduled to USC for next week. He discussed his thoughts about him on a few of the other programs that he qualified with 247Sports in a previous interview.

Arizona: “Jack Murphy recruits me the hardest from over there. Tommy Lloyd is a really good coach. For him being there for such a short time, he has done a really good job. I want to visit the campus and meet the guys over there. I and he tells me all about the program. “

Texas Tech: “They first started recruiting me at Section 7 last summer. I have never been able to visit the campus for an unofficial visit or anything like that so I might as well visit Lubbock officially.”

USC: “I have been talking to USC since my freshman year. Eric Mobley, Andy Enfieldand Jay Morris are all great guys. They believe in me the most so it is only right that I scheduled an official visit. “

Williams is a lengthy and thin-framed prospect with agile feet, bounce, and early signs of skill. He is one of the better frontcourt prospects in the West Coast for his class because of his effort by him, how he changes ends fairly well, and how he is fluid for a player of his size by him.

He is a generally active player around the rim who looks to rebound the basketball in his area, alter shots, spring the floor, and make himself a target when diving to the basket.

When not engaged, he can get lost in a game but for the most part he is mature in his approach to impacting the game without scoring and making himself an easy find for rim-running finishes and catches in the dunker spot. He also has touch behind the three-point line where he can even be more consistent with time.

Williams will have to add weight if he wants to make an immediate impact at the high major level, but the best part about his game is how he maximizes his tools with his effort and competitiveness.

After having a strong high school season, Williams made a 51-spot leap in the latest update of the 247Sports Player Rankings. He is ranked the No. 87 overall prospect in the 247Sports Top 150 Player Rankings
