LSU wide receiver transfer Koy Moore landed a 247Sports Crystal Ball pick from 247Sports’ Chris Hummer Friday to continue his collegiate career at SEC West rival Auburn. 247Sports’ Steve Wiltfong additionally reported Thursday that Moore is scheduled to visit Auburn this weekend. Moore entered the NCAA transfer portal midseason in 2021 – his second year in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Moore, a former Metairie (La.) Archbishop Rummel wideout, was the first player to leave the program since it announced that head coach Ed Orgeron would not return after the 2021 season. The sophomore had tallied five receptions for 71 yards in 2021 after notching 22 catches for 177 yards as a freshman.

Moore had not logged a reception since the win over Central Michigan at the time of his decision to move on. He was banged up during fall camp last summer, too, which allowed LSU’s young group of talented receivers to emerge.

When Moore signed with LSU in the 2020 class, he ranked on the industry-generated 247Sports Composite as a four-star recruit, coming in as the No. 299 overall prospect in the country, No. 50 wide receiver in the nation and No. 11 prospects in Louisiana. 247Sports had him pegged as a three-star, ranking as the No. 107 overall wideout and No. 24 prospect in Louisiana.

247Sports projected Moore as a starter at the Power Five level and compared him to former Nebraska wide receiver Stanley Morgan Jr.
