After going through spring practice with just seven scholarship wide receivers, landing some pass catchers through the transfer portal became key for Auburn. On Sunday, Auburn got another addition to the room when former LSU wide receiver Koy Moore committed.

Moore is the second receiver Auburn has landed through the portal, joining former Miami wide receiver Dazalin Worsham, who enrolled at Auburn last week.

During his freshman season at LSU, Moore burst onto the scene with 22 receptions for 177 yards in 10 games. That included a six-catch, 63-yard game in a win against Ole Miss. Moore recorded stats in just two games in 2021, catching five passes for 71 yards.

Listed at 6-foot, 170 pounds, Moore is credited with his breakaway speed and ability to catch the ball in traffic, bringing a much-needed element to the Auburn receiver room.

Auburn brought Moore in for an official visit on Friday, and before he could even leave campus Auburn has a commitment from him. Louisiana natives wide receivers coach Ike Hilliard and director of football and player relations Trovon Reed were both crucial in helping land Moore, a Kenner, Louisiana, native. Moore had interest from several Big 12 schools, including Oklahoma State and Texas Tech, but opted for Auburn.

Out of high school Moore was a 4-star in the 247Sports Composite and the No. 299 overall player.

With the additions of Moore and Worsham, along with freshmen Camden Brown and Omari Kelly on campus, Auburn has 12 scholarship receivers on roster, which includes Landen King, who’s playing a hybrid role between tight end and wide receiver.

Moore has three years of eligibility remaining.
