The Rock brought tears to his mom’s eyes when he surprised her with a brand new home.<\/p>\n

The longtime entertainer, 50, took to Instagram to share a precious video of his mother, 73-year-old Ata Johnson’s, shocked reaction.<\/p>\n

He wrote a heartfelt caption that started, ‘Love you mom and surprise!’<\/p>\n

The video began with his dear mother standing outside the home, which had a large black door in front.<\/p>\n

It was soundtracked by the sentimental song Over the Rainbow by Israel Kamakawiwo’ole.<\/p>\n

The actor continued in his caption, ‘When I was a little boy, I hated when my mom would cry ~ these days, I’ll happily take her tears of joy.’ <\/p>\n

He included a crying smiling emoji to emphasize his point before adding: ‘I surprised my mom and bought her a new home.’ <\/p>\n

Giving his fans insight to the process, Johnson noted, ‘Took me and my design team 8 weeks to get it ready, where she could walk thru her front door for the very first time and everything she saw was brand new and a total surprise. ‘<\/p>\n

And in case any of his 319 million followers were wondering what took him so long to share the fruits of his lustrous career with his mother, he clarified: ‘I’ve been lucky enough to have bought her a few homes over the years, but this one is special. ‘<\/p>\n

He said his mom has told him ‘over and over these past few years,’ After a lifetime of traveling, I want this home to be my last. Thats my dream. ” <\/p>\n

He gave more details about the surprise as he said, ‘Very cool moment. She brought my mom into her new family room where we placed her vintage ukuleles on the wall and I was able to unearth pictures of our ancestors that she hasn’t seen since she was a child growing up in Samoa. ‘<\/p>\n

At the top of the clip he said, ‘Alright mom, this is your big room. Welcome home. ‘<\/p>\n

Finally he wrote, ‘Enjoy your new home mom !! Break out the ukulele and let’s [dance]. ‘<\/p>\n
