The Golden State Warriors find themselves trailing the Boston Celtics 1-0 in the 2022 NBA Finals despite leading for most of Game 1. Down 14 points entering the fourth quarter, Boston outscored Golden State 40-16 for a stunning 120-108 comeback. Stephen Curry and Co. look to bounce back in Game 2 Sunday night to even up the series after suffering their first home loss this postseason. After one half of play, it is the Warriors who own a slim lead over the Celtics. <\/p>\n

Boston became the first team in NBA Finals history to win by double digits after trailing by double digits entering the fourth quarter. It took the lead with 5:02 remaining on an Al Horford 3 and didn’t fall behind again. The Celtics also tied the 1960 St. Louis Hawks for the largest point differential (+24) in any quarter in Finals history. They drained nine 3s on just 12 attempts in the fourth en route to their historical win. Curry finished with a game-high seven 3, including six in a red-hot opening quarter. Al Horford finished with six 3s, and Derrick White drained five of his own by him. Jaylen Brown, who had a team-high 24 points, put up 10 points and five assists in Boston’s big fourth.
