Spider-Man: No Way Home<\/em> was named best movie at the 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards on Sunday night.<\/p>\n

Stars Tom Holland and Zendaya accepted the award via separate pretaped video speeches. Holland won best performance in a movie as well, while Zendaya also won best performance in a TV show for Euphoria, <\/em>which was named best show. Star Sydney Sweeney accepted the latter award in person.<\/p>\n

The show is also know for oddball awards like best kiss, which was won by Poopies and the snake from Jackass Forever. <\/em>After the award was announced, a python was brought out that he proceeded to kiss onstage.<\/p>\n

Ryan Reynolds won best comedic performance for Free Guy,<\/em> which was accepted by Steve-O, best known from the Jackass<\/em> franchise, via video, claiming Reynolds was too busy to appear even in the video to accept his own award. Steve-O read a list of names that Reynolds wanted to thank before the latter showed up to help Steve-O with the list before joking he really wanted Steve-O to kick him in the crotch.<\/p>\n

Vanessa Hudgens hosted the show, which aired live from Barker Hangar in Los Angeles, followed by the Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted, hosted by Tayshia Adams. Both shows were simulcast across BET, BET Her, CMT, Comedy Central, Logo, MTV2, Nick at Night, Paramount Network, Pop, TV Land and VH1 and will air internationally on MTV in over 170 countries. The MTV Movie & TV Awards was additionally simulcast on The CW.<\/p>\n

This year, the MTV Movie & TV Awards has also added two new categories: best song and “Here for the Hookup.”<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted recognized reality TV, talk shows and documentaries. RuPaul’s Drag Race<\/em> was named top competition series, while Chrishell Stause of Selling Sunset was named best reality star, and thanked the fans for voting her for after she came out and embracing her decision to live her life authentically. The show also was named best docu-reality series.<\/p>\n

The Unscripted awards have also added categories for best music documentary, best reality star, best reality romance and best reality return.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, Jennifer Lopez got emotional while accepting the Generation Award, while Jack Black did a somersault before receiving the Comedic Genius Award. Bethenny Frankel received the Reality Royalty Award during the Unscripted portion.<\/p>\n
