He shared his decision on Twitter.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">&#8220;First off, I would like to thank God for blessing me with the life I was given and for the talents that have been bestowed upon me,&#8221; <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/KadynProctor1\/status\/1542568684136325121\" target=\"_blank\" data-t-l=\":b|e|inline click|${u}\" class=\"gnt_ar_b_a\">Proctor said in his statement<\/a>.  &#8220;Without him, I would be nobody. I never thought that I would be in this position that I am today and most know that.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">&#8220;With that being said I would like to further my football and academic career at the University of Iowa!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Proctor told the Des Moines Register last week that he plans to enroll early.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">\u201cI could see the development (at Iowa),\u201d Proctor told the Register.  \u201cThe offensive line development.  I&#8217;m breaking down academics and football, the city life, everything.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">This is the second straight year that the Hawkeyes have won the battle for a five-star, in-state product from Southeast Polk.  Last year, five-star safety Xavier Nwankpa committed to Iowa after a lengthy recruitment that involved offers from 30 other Division I programs.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"gnt_em gnt_em_img\"><img class=\"gnt_em_img_i\" style=\"height:470px\" data-g-r=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.gannett-cdn.com\/presto\/2021\/11\/20\/PDEM\/2c33fad3-1975-4e4d-9697-4633f9dab431-20211119_5Achampionships_02650.JPG?ssl=1\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.gannett-cdn.com\/presto\/2021\/11\/20\/PDEM\/2c33fad3-1975-4e4d-9697-4633f9dab431-20211119_5Achampionships_02650.JPG?width=1320&amp;height=940&amp;fit=crop&amp;format=pjpg&amp;auto=webp 2x\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Southeast Polk junior offensive lineman Kadyn Proctor guards the line in the second quarter against Ankeny during the Iowa High School Class 5A state championship football game.\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\"\/><\/figure>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Proctor is the No.  1 2023 player in Iowa in the Des Moines Register&#8217;s rankings released in December.  He is the No.  2 offensive tackle and No.  10 overall player nationwide, according to 247Sports Composite.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">The 6-7, 330-pound tackle collected a laundry list of offers over his recruitment.  In addition to Iowa, here is the complete list of schools that extended offers to Proctor: Alabama, Arkansas State, Alabama A&#038;M, Alabama State, Arizona, Arizona State, Arkansas, Auburn, Campbell, Charlotte, Florida, Florida A&#038;M, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Houston, Iowa State, Jackson State, Kansas State, Louisville, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Mississippi State, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&#038;M, Tulane, USC and West Virginia.<\/p>\n<aside aria-label=\"advertisement\" class=\"gnt_m gnt_x gnt_x__lbl gnt_x__al\"\/>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\"><strong class=\"gnt_ar_b_al\">Previously:<\/strong>Southeast Polk phenom Kadyn Proctor hitting &#8216;tip of the iceberg&#8217; with four Power 5 football offers<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Proctor visited Arkansas State \u2013 the first school to recruit him \u2013 in early June.  He also took two official visits before making his decision: Alabama on June 10 and Iowa on June 24.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">\u201cThe facts show, in the past 20 years, 10 offensive linemen have been drafted out of Alabama and six out of Iowa,\u201d Proctor said.  \u201cThose are the top two.  It just makes sense to have the two best offensive line schools in my top two, because that&#8217;s what I want to do.\u201d<\/p>\n<aside aria-label=\"advertisement\" class=\"gnt_m gnt_x gnt_x__lbl gnt_x__al\"\/>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Proctor is the highest-rated recruit committed to Iowa&#8217;s 2023 class and the highest-rated recruit to choose Iowa in the modern ranking era.
