{"id":39127,"date":"2022-06-06T17:20:03","date_gmt":"2022-06-06T17:20:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/harchi90.com\/johnny-depp-eats-62000-indian-meal-to-celebrate-trial-win\/"},"modified":"2022-06-06T17:20:03","modified_gmt":"2022-06-06T17:20:03","slug":"johnny-depp-eats-62000-indian-meal-to-celebrate-trial-win","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/harchi90.com\/johnny-depp-eats-62000-indian-meal-to-celebrate-trial-win\/","title":{"rendered":"Johnny Depp eats $ 62,000 Indian meal to celebrate trial win"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignleft\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>Those spices came with luxury prices.<\/p>\n<p>Johnny Depp shelled out more than $ 62,000 (\u00a3 50,000) for a special celebratory curry dinner with his pals on Sunday evening in Birmingham, England.<\/p>\n<p>Depp, 58, indulged in a feast of \u201cauthentic Indian cuisine,\u201d cocktails and ros\u00e9 Champagne at the Varanasi restaurant serving \u201cheavenly recipes and soothing ambience,\u201d according to its website. <\/p>\n<p>The actor &#8211; declared a \u201cdown-to-earth bloke\u201d by restaurant staff &#8211; famously scored a big victory Wednesday when he was awarded a $ 10.35 million judgment in his brutal defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard, 36.<\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;Edward Scissorhands&#8221; star was hanging out with his musician friend-collaborator Jeff Beck, 77, and 20 other people in their party at what&#8217;s billed as &#8220;Birmingham&#8217;s largest Indian restaurant.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Depp has been staying in the United Kingdom to join Beck on his tour.  He even appeared onstage at several of the guitarist&#8217;s shows, including one at London&#8217;s Royal Albert Hall late last month.<\/p>\n<p>The father of two traveled to Birmingham to perform with Beck onstage for his show in the city&#8217;s Symphony Hall.  Depp and his entourage di lui had arrived to the trendy eatery by 7 pm and posed for photos with fans, the Daily Mail reported. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><figcaption>Depp (right) and his friends munched on dishes such as curry, cheesecake, butter chicken and shish kebabs.  Varanasi restaurant staffers declared Depp a &#8220;very lovely, down-to-earth bloke.&#8221;<\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">Varanasi Birmingham<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignright\">\n\t<\/aside>\n<p>The 20,000-square-foot restaurant was closed so Depp and his friends could eat in private, and they left around midnight.<\/p>\n<p>Mohammed Hussain, operations director of Varanasi, told the outlet: &#8220;We had a call out of the blue on Sunday afternoon saying that Johnny Depp wanted to come to eat with a group of people.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I was shocked, and at first, I thought it might have been a wind up. You would never have thought that he was such a big star.
