Deandre Ayton will be a restricted free agent this offseason and sources tell The Athletic that it’s \u201cmore likely than not\u201d he will leave the Phoenix Suns.<\/p>\n

Because of Ayton’s restricted free agency status where the Suns could match any offer, a sign-and-trade appears to be the more probable scenario.<\/p>\n

“Now, I think it’s more likely than not that he’s in a new destination next season, especially if the Suns can work out a sign-and-trade that brings back some value,” writes John Hollinger. “For whatever reason, I don’t think Phoenix is \u200b\u200btotally comfortable going forward with him on a big-money deal, and I think Ayton might be okay with going somewhere else if he can have a bigger offensive role.”<\/p>\n

The Detroit Pistons, San Antonio Spurs and Portland Trail Blazers are expected to be among the teams who pursues Ayton.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
