CORVALLIS – The Oregon State Beavers play the Vanderbilt Commodores Monday afternoon in the final of the Corvallis Regional at Goss Stadium.

The winner will advance to the NCAA Super Regionals.

The Commodores defeated Oregon State 8-1 Sunday night in a one-sided gut punch, completing a do-or-die double-header to stave off elimination. They chased Beavers starter Jacob Kmatz in the fourth inning and built an 8-0 lead in the decisive win, stunning a rested team playing in front of an energized home crowd.

Vanderbilt, the No. 2 seed, dropped its opener, but has been dominant since, winning three elimination games by a combined score of 43-6.

The Beavers, who are the No. 3 national seed and top seed in the regional, are facing elimination for the first time after winning their first two games of the regional.
