A well-known athletic trainer was arrested Thursday in Southern California after he was accused of allegedly sexually assaulting teenage girls, according to Santa Ana Police Department.

Chris Flores, 37, of Bellflower, was nabbed during a traffic stop after a warrant was issued for his arrest after sexual misconduct of a minor.

Police started an investigation when groom of the prominent trainer claimed he reportedly had and touched two minors.

Allegations against Flores started to circulate when leaked voice recordings surfaced on social media between him and a 14-year-old girl, according to Santa Ana police.

In the voice audio obtained exclusively by ABC7, a male voice is heard asking, “Did you delete anything?” while the minor confirms the texts were deleted.

The male voice proceeds to ask her on a date, but the girl turns his offer down.

“What the hell? We never get to chill and now you don’t want to go and you’re about to start school,” the male said. “So stop being a dummy.”

Police confirmed the voice in the audio messages belonged to Flores. The girl told Santa Ana police that Flores, who served as her coach, allegedly sexually assaulted her multiple times throughout 2021.

Flores, known as “Coach Frogg”, is linked to multiple high-profile college and professional athletes that have either trained or worked with him.

Former NFL cornerback Jason David expressed disappointment in a video statement posted to Instagram, saying he would cut ties with the trainer amid the investigation.

David and Flores coached alongside each other and founded an athletic program named STARS Prep Academy in 2017, according to ESPN.

“Never in a million years would I ever imagine releasing a public statement to address sexual misconduct involving Mr. Flores and our innocent little girls,” David said on Instagram. “I’m sick to my stomach. I’m disgusted. I’m outraged.”

The program uses Santiago Middle School campus to train in Orange County — where roughly 100 students were counted in the academic school year in 2021, according to ESPN.

High-profile players such as Kansas City Chiefs receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster, Alabama quarterback Bryce Young and Clemson quarterback DJ Uiagalelei are linked to the Rising STARS program.

Flores is currently booked at the Orange County Jail and his bail has been set at $500,000.

Police believe there are more victims and are urging anyone to speak out on Flores.
