{"id":43543,"date":"2022-08-12T19:45:46","date_gmt":"2022-08-12T19:45:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/harchi90.com\/commanders-owner-rips-reporter-jason-wrights-carson-wentz-interview\/"},"modified":"2022-08-12T19:45:46","modified_gmt":"2022-08-12T19:45:46","slug":"commanders-owner-rips-reporter-jason-wrights-carson-wentz-interview","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/harchi90.com\/commanders-owner-rips-reporter-jason-wrights-carson-wentz-interview\/","title":{"rendered":"Commanders owner rips reporter Jason Wright&#8217;s Carson Wentz interview"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignleft\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>Commanders president Jason Wright ripped a reporter who grilled Washington quarterback Carson Wentz about his training camp accuracy issues, as well as his recent struggles in the NFL.<\/p>\n<p>in a<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/whoisjwright\/status\/1558088680975237120?s=20&amp;t=nvKWR0j-ZsCS-SxShnUb0A\" target=\"_blank\"> tweeted on Thursday<\/a>Wright called Scott Abraham, who covers the Commanders for 7News DC, a \u201cpompous, unprofessional mess\u201d and included a clip of the interview. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThankfully, Carson demonstrated grace &#038; class in response to this pompous, unprofessional mess,\u201d Wright wrote.  \u201cI recognize you have made a living on childlike provocation but it needs to be called out,\u201d Wright tweeted.  \u201cDon&#8217;t expect special access and good luck building rapport with the guys @Scott7news.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>In a separate tweet, Wright added, \u201cAnd it&#8217;s not that the guys can&#8217;t take criticism.  Just be a journalist and follow standard practices.  Others have found a way to do both.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>During the interview, Abraham asked Wentz to assess his performance \u2014 and whether or not he believes it is a fair characterization that some \u201cnarratives\u201d are that he&#8217;s \u201ca little inaccurate on [his] throws\u201d and \u201cconsistently inconsistent\u201d at training camp. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cYeah, I mean for one, it&#8217;s camp,\u201d Wentz said.  \u201cI didn&#8217;t know that, so thank you.  At the same time I&#8217;m my biggest critic.\u201d <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"embed-wrapper twitter\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Thankfully, Carson demonstrated grace &#038; class in response to this pompous, unprofessional mess. But for me, I don&#8217;t think in those terms.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Wright seemed to take issue with the way Abraham phrased the questions, while discussing the interview on Twitter with Pro Football Talk.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou can honestly say, &#8216;Philly didn&#8217;t want you, Indy didn&#8217;t want you&#8217; is an appropriate tone?\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/whoisjwright\/status\/1558094495228596224?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1558094495228596224%7Ctwgr%5E285a3a4d9c66234037e6ff8c6d6fd61ca1a5af99%7Ctwcon%5Es1_c10&amp;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fnypost.com%2Fwp-admin%2Fpost.php%3Fpost%3D23435838action%3Dedit\" target=\"_blank\">Wright asked<\/a>.  \u201cWe value giving extraordinary access to local media &#038; Lord knows can&#8217;t avoid hard questions here. Private conversations have been had and enough is enough.  We&#8217;ve spent the last two years re-introducing ourselves and establishing a collaborative way of working with media,\u201d Wright tweeted.  \u201cBut being kind &#038; values \u200b\u200bdriven does not mean being a doormat.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Despite his struggles, Wentz has showed flashes of his old self at training camp. <\/p>\n<p>During a Thursday appearance on \u201cGood Morning Football,\u201d Commanders wide receiver <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/WillSelvaTV\/status\/1557690783058169856\" target=\"_blank\">Jahan Dotson said <\/a>his connection with Wentz has \u201cbeen great.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe&#8217;s been more than helpful to me,\u201d said Dotson.  \u201cHe puts the ball on the money where I need it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wentz threw for 3,563 yards and 27 touchdowns against seven interceptions for the Colts last season.
