{"id":43922,"date":"2022-06-09T20:26:00","date_gmt":"2022-06-09T20:26:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/harchi90.com\/the-last-of-us-multiplayer-game-has-a-story-and-is-as-big-as-other-naughty-dog-games\/"},"modified":"2022-06-09T20:26:00","modified_gmt":"2022-06-09T20:26:00","slug":"the-last-of-us-multiplayer-game-has-a-story-and-is-as-big-as-other-naughty-dog-games","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/harchi90.com\/the-last-of-us-multiplayer-game-has-a-story-and-is-as-big-as-other-naughty-dog-games\/","title":{"rendered":"The Last of Us Multiplayer Game Has a Story, and Is &#8216;As Big&#8217; as Other Naughty Dog Games"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div id=\"\">\n<p>Naughty Dog&#8217;s Neil Druckman revealed new details about the long-awaited standalone multiplayer game set in The Last of Us world during today&#8217;s Summer Game Fest showcase.<\/p>\n<p><output class=\"article-image-container\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"jsx-1740678189 article-image-caption\">Concept art from an upcoming The Last of Us standalone multiplayer game.<\/p>\n<p><\/output><\/p>\n<p>Originally supposed to be a multiplayer mode for The Last of Us Part 2, he explained that the team&#8217;s ambition made it evolve into something far beyond that over the last two years.  &#8220;This game is big,&#8221; Druckman said.  &#8220;It&#8217;s as big as any of our single-player games that we&#8217;ve done, and in some ways bigger.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Alongside the concept art above, Druckman confirmed it will have a story of its own, though he also said &#8220;the way we&#8217;re telling that story is very unique to this game.&#8221;  It will have &#8220;a brand new cast of characters&#8221; as well, and while its new location wasn&#8217;t confirmed, the image shared looks like it could be set in San Francisco.<\/p>\n<section data-transform=\"object-feedback\"\/>\n<p>A final name and proper gameplay weren&#8217;t shown, but Druckman said more details would be coming next year.
