{"id":44622,"date":"2022-08-14T00:29:09","date_gmt":"2022-08-14T00:29:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/harchi90.com\/former-nick-star-josh-peck-calls-jeanette-mccurdy-incredibly-brave\/"},"modified":"2022-08-14T00:29:09","modified_gmt":"2022-08-14T00:29:09","slug":"former-nick-star-josh-peck-calls-jeanette-mccurdy-incredibly-brave","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/harchi90.com\/former-nick-star-josh-peck-calls-jeanette-mccurdy-incredibly-brave\/","title":{"rendered":"Former Nick star Josh Peck calls Jeanette McCurdy &#8216;incredibly brave&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Josh Peck is proud of his fellow Nickelodeon alum pal, Jeanette McCurdy, for penning her book, \u201cI&#8217;m Glad My Mom Died.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think she is incredibly brave to tell her story and to be as honest as she is,\u201d the \u201cDrake &#038; Josh\u201d star told Page Six in a recent interview. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think one of her great talents is her wit and how thoughtful she is and as soon as I was able to pick up the book I did because I really wanted to see the way she told her story.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The \u201ciCarly\u201d star&#8217;s recently released memoir \u2014 as its title suggests \u2014 delves into the complicated relationship she had with her mother, who controlled her every move and forced her daughter to become a child actor.  McCurdy&#8217;s mother died of cancer in 2013 when the \u201cSam &#038; Cat\u201d star was 21.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, Peck posted a sweet snap of himself on Instagram, hugging McCurdy and captioning it: \u201cMy friend Jennette wrote a book and it&#8217;s out today.  She she&#8217;s brave, funny, and thoughtful in ways few are.
