{"id":45636,"date":"2022-08-15T03:26:53","date_gmt":"2022-08-15T03:26:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/harchi90.com\/tom-holland-quits-social-media-for-mental-health-deadline\/"},"modified":"2022-08-15T03:26:53","modified_gmt":"2022-08-15T03:26:53","slug":"tom-holland-quits-social-media-for-mental-health-deadline","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/harchi90.com\/tom-holland-quits-social-media-for-mental-health-deadline\/","title":{"rendered":"Tom Holland Quits Social Media For Mental Health \u2013 Deadline"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Tom Holland returned to Instagram only to reveal he was taking a social media break to focus on his mental health.  the <em>Spider-Man: No Way Home<\/em> star had been absent from digital platforms and came back to make a couple of important announcements.<\/p>\n<p>Holland shared a video on his official Instagram account and said he had been struggling for about an hour trying to come up with the words he was going to use.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI&#8217;ve taken a break from social media for my mental health because I find Instagram and Twitter to be overstimulating, to be overwhelming,\u201d he said in his first announcement.  \u201cI get caught up and I spiral when I read things about me online and ultimately, it&#8217;s very detrimental to my mental state.  So I decided to take a step back and delete the app.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>His \u201cbrief return to Instagram\u201d was to bring awareness to the charity stem4, an education program that helps young kids manage their mental health.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is an awful stigma against mental health and I know that asking for help and seeking help isn&#8217;t something that we should be ashamed of but it is something that is much easier said than done,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Holland said that he has tried all four apps in the program and they have been \u201cfantastic\u201d and \u201creally helpful.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Before ending the video, the actor said he was \u201cgoing to disappear from Instagram again\u201d and added, \u201cThanks for your love and support.
