The Sooners were an absolute juggernaut, finishing off Texas, 10-5, in Game 2 to win the national title and finish the 2022 season an absurd 59-3.  Texas finished 47-22-1 on the year, and initially it looked like the Longhorns had a shot in Game 2 Thursday night.  However, head coach Mike White&#8217;s squad fell short, even after taking a 2-0 lead in the first inning.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Catcher Mary Iakopo, a key piece to the squad in 2022, drove in one run as part of a 1-for-2 night.  Star second baseman Janae Jefferson went 1-for-3 but did not drive in a run.  Starting pitcher Estelle Czech went 4 2\/3 innings and gave up six runs (four earned).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Oklahoma was too strong in the middle innings, scoring all 10 runs between innings four and six.
