{"id":45927,"date":"2022-08-15T12:14:12","date_gmt":"2022-08-15T12:14:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/harchi90.com\/thomas-tuchel-and-antonio-conte-sent-off-after-tottenham-drew-with-chelsea\/"},"modified":"2022-08-15T12:14:12","modified_gmt":"2022-08-15T12:14:12","slug":"thomas-tuchel-and-antonio-conte-sent-off-after-tottenham-drew-with-chelsea","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/harchi90.com\/thomas-tuchel-and-antonio-conte-sent-off-after-tottenham-drew-with-chelsea\/","title":{"rendered":"Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte sent off after Tottenham drew with Chelsea"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The pair had been locking horns throughout the second-half, but the feud reached a boiling point shortly after the final whistle after Harry Kane had scored a last-gasp equalizer for the visitors. <\/p>\n<p>Things looked to be relatively calm as both managers went for the customary handshake, but the two managers erupted when it appeared that Tuchel wouldn&#8217;t let go of Conte&#8217;s hand after the Spurs boss failed to look his opposite number in the eye. <\/p>\n<p>Staff and players from both sides ran in to separate the emotional two men in what was a fitting end to a fiery match played in scorching heat. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It was hot from the temperature and hot between the benches and hot on the field and hot between the spectators &#8212; everything that you want and what you hope for in a match like this early in the season,&#8221; Tuchel told the BBC. <\/p>\n<div>\n<p>&#8220;There&#8217;s no hard feelings. I feel like it was a fair tackle from him [Conte] and a fair tackle from me. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We did not insult each other, we did not hit each other, we were fighting for our teams and, from my side, there&#8217;s absolutely no hard feelings. I&#8217;m surprised that we both got a red card for that.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The pair had clashed earlier in the game after Conte irked Tuchel with his enthusiastic celebrations when Tottenham initially equalized to make it 1-1, Pierre-Emile H\u00f8jbjerg canceling out Kalidou Koulibaly&#8217;s opener. <\/p>\n<p>However, Tuchel was no shrinking violet after Reece James made it 2-1 to Chelsea, with the German running down the touchline after admitting the match &#8220;sucked me in.&#8221; <\/p>\n<div class=\"el__embedded el__embedded--fullwidth\">\n<div class=\"el__image--fullwidth js__image--fullwidth\">\n<div><noscript><img alt=\"Players and staff separated the two managers at full-time. \" class=\"media__image\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/cdn.cnn.com\/cnnnext\/dam\/assets\/220815092735-tuchel-chelsea-melee-large-169.jpg?ssl=1\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\"\/><\/noscript><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><h3>&#8216;Lucky I didn&#8217;t see you&#8217;<\/h3>\n<\/p>\n<p>After the game, though, Tuchel was more annoyed with the refereeing performance from Anthony Taylor and felt aggrieved by decisions that led to both of Tottenham&#8217;s goals.  <\/p>\n<p>The Chelsea boss was annoyed after striker Kai Havertz was seemingly brought down by Rodrigo Bentancur in the buildup to Tottenham&#8217;s first goal which also included a possible offside. <\/p>\n<p>The situation only intensified after Tottenham defender Cristian Romero pulled on full-back Marc Cucurella&#8217;s hair at the corner that led to Kane&#8217;s 96th-minute equalizer.<\/p>\n<p>The FA said it would be investigating the post-match comments from Tuchel who filed Taylor&#8217;s performance.<\/p>\n<p>Former Chelsea manager Conte, meanwhile, would not be drawn into commenting on the stormy touchline antics, but he did direct a tongue-in-cheek post on social media to his counterpart. <\/p>\n<div class=\"zn-body__paragraph\" data-paragraph-id=\"paragraph_3D4182CB-D59C-CFF2-732B-A093A2BF4B6F\">&#8220;Lucky I didn&#8217;t see you.
