Xbox has announced that <em>Hades<\/em>, along with a treasure trove of games \u2014 some of the best on the service \u2014 are leaving on August 31st.  Here&#8217;s the full list:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li id=\"NuaLnc\">\n<em>Elite Dangerous<\/em> <\/li>\n<li id=\"YaTC0e\">\n<em>Hades<\/em> <\/li>\n<li id=\"44bE2g\">\n<em>myst<\/em> <\/li>\n<li id=\"ECLx1E\">\n<em>NBA 2K22<\/em> <\/li>\n<li id=\"I5Btt8\">\n<em>Signs of the Sojourner<\/em> <\/li>\n<li id=\"FfWLq6\">\n<em>spiritfarer<\/em> <\/li>\n<li id=\"lg4fCe\"><em>Twelve Minutes<\/em><\/li>\n<li id=\"0MRUUP\"><em>Two Point Hospital <\/em><\/li>\n<li id=\"Vj33LL\">\n<em>What Remains of Edith Finch<\/em> <\/li>\n<li id=\"kqqAg0\">\n<em>World War Z<\/em> <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p id=\"InYfPw\"><em>Hades<\/em> is one of those genre-redefining games.  It is a roguelike that never actually feels like one because of how the story and the characters are weaved through the gameplay.  And the gameplay itself is tight and enjoyable, with tons of powers, perks, and weapons you can choose to refine your loadout.  When <em>Hades<\/em> joined Game Pass a little over a year ago, the game became a major selling point for the subscription service, landing on damn near everyone&#8217;s must-play list. <\/p>\n<p id=\"8rlnNy\">In addition to<em> Hades<\/em>Game Pass is also losing several other <em>really fricking good<\/em> games, including <em>myst<\/em>, <em>Elite Dangerous<\/em>, <em>spiritfarer<\/em>and my personal constantly slept-on favorite, <em>What Remains of Edith Finch<\/em>. <\/p>\n<p id=\"V1lVh8\">Of course, Game Pass also giveth when it taketh away.  But while you&#8217;ll have the opportunity to play <em>Every Story<\/em>writer Sam Barlow&#8217;s newest game <em>immortality, <\/em>and the surprisingly decent <em>Immortals: Fenyx Rising<\/em>none of the new additions will be able to fill the giant hole of quality those other games leave behind.<\/p>\n<p id=\"Accphv\">You&#8217;ve got until August 31st to play those hits, or else you&#8217;re going to be left out like <em>The Verge<\/em>&#8216;s Umar Shakir, who assumed <em>Hades<\/em> would always be there.
