Despite stepping behind the camera more, Bryce Dallas Howard has no intention to quit acting and has cited her father as a major influence for why.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

Bryce Dallas Howard<\/strong> has no plans to quit acting anytime soon despite her starting her directing career. Howard has enjoyed a successful acting career ranging from high profile franchises like Spider-Man<\/em> 3, Terminator Salvation,<\/em> and the Jurassic World<\/em> film series as well as work in critically acclaimed films like The Help<\/em> and Rocketman<\/em>. In recent years she has stepped behind the camera, directing two episodes of The Mandalorian<\/em> and an episode of The Book of Boba Fett<\/em>.<\/p>\n
Howard is of course the daughter of Ron Howard, who also started out as a child actor on The Andy Griffith Show<\/em> and when he got older was the star of the hit television series Happy Days<\/em> and American Grafitti<\/em> before stepping behind the camera. Ron Howard has directed a number of memorable films from Splash<\/em>, Apollo 13,<\/em> and The Da Vinci Code<\/em> and won Best Director for A Beautiful Mind<\/em>. Like his daughter di lui, Howard has also stepped into the world of Star Wars<\/em> replacing Phil Lord and Chris Miller as the director of Solo: A Star Wars Story<\/em>. With Bryce Dallas Howard taking a more active role in directing many di lei assumed she, much like her father di lei, would stop acting and make directing her primary career di lei.<\/p>\n

However, it appears Howard won’t be retiring from acting anytime soon. Speaking at an IMAX exclusive Q&A panel promoting Jurassic World: Dominion<\/em>Street \/Movie<\/em>, Howard was asked about her future as a director and answered that ideally, she would like to both act and direct, citing she has learned from her father’s experience directing and some regrets he had about his career as a form of inspiration. She says her father di lei wished he kept acting to learn more from how other directors solve problems that arise on set, and she is taking that advice wanting to learn from other filmmakers. “What’s so wonderful about getting to be an actor who’s interested in directing … is that you get to see a lot of other directors work. And that’s something that my dad – he started off as an actor – when he started directing he stopped acting and he said that’s the thing he misses the most, getting to see how different directors solve problems.<\/p>\n
“… The more you learn, the more you understand, but the more you’re enlightened by each filmmaker that you get to encounter. And so that’s why I hope to get to continue to direct but I also hope to get to continue to act – because it’s the best way to learn. “<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
