What’s next from Legendary’s MonsterVerse<\/strong>? As we recently learned, a Godzilla vs. Kong<\/em><\/strong> sequel will film in Australia this year, and the film has now been officially dated for release.<\/p>\n

The untitled sequel arrives in theaters on March 15, 2024<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

So what exactly is this particular MonsterVerse project, you ask? Is it truly a direct sequel to Godzilla vs. Kong<\/em>which made $468 million at the global box office last year?<\/p>\n

Well, we were previously aware of a couple different MonsterVerse projects, including a live action series for Apple TV+ that will feature Godzilla and several other monsters. We had also learned back in April 2021 that Godzilla vs. Kong<\/em> director Adam Wingard<\/strong> was in talks to direct another MonsterVerse movie, which was potentially (at the time) a Son of Kong<\/em> movie<\/p>\n

The final moments of Godzilla vs. Kong<\/em> suggested that we could soon be seeing the continuing adventures of Kong, who has found himself a new home in the Hollow Earth. This could very well be the \u201cGodzilla vs. Kong<\/em> sequel\u201d that has just been dated this week. Then again, the soon-to-film sequel project could be a different movie entirely. We’ll keep you posted!<\/p>\n

Godzilla vs. Kong<\/em> was the fourth movie in the MonsterVerse, which kicked off with Godzilla<\/em> in 2014 and continued with Kong: Skull Island<\/em> in 2017 and Godzilla: King of the Monsters<\/em> in 2019.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
