{"id":50452,"date":"2022-08-19T20:50:40","date_gmt":"2022-08-19T20:50:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/harchi90.com\/the-rehearsal-renewed-for-season-2-at-hbo\/"},"modified":"2022-08-19T20:50:40","modified_gmt":"2022-08-19T20:50:40","slug":"the-rehearsal-renewed-for-season-2-at-hbo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/harchi90.com\/the-rehearsal-renewed-for-season-2-at-hbo\/","title":{"rendered":"The Rehearsal renewed for season 2 at HBO"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p id=\"goRdKH\">If your mind has been rankled by Nathan Fielder&#8217;s <em>The Rehearsal<\/em> in the past five weeks (which is to say, if you have watched Nathan Fielder&#8217;s <em>The Rehearsal<\/em> at all), then we&#8217;ve got good news: HBO has renewed the show for a second season, the network announced Friday.<\/p>\n<p id=\"5mFNmo\">The renewal comes just before the season 1 finale on Friday night, when viewers will be able to see how Fielder&#8217;s latest rehearsal process with his \u201cson\u201d is going. <\/p>\n<p id=\"8HcmrI\"><em>The Rehearsal<\/em> was sold as a docuseries, and its ostensible thrust was helping people prepare for life&#8217;s biggest moments \u2014 becoming a parent or confessing you lied about a master&#8217;s degree \u2014 by allowing them to rehearse them under Fielder&#8217;s careful, anxious eye.  The result is an intricate and meticulous series that simultaneously builds up Fielder&#8217;s persona of situational cringe comedy and deconstructs the artifice of it in real time. <\/p>\n<div class=\"c-float-right\">\n<div id=\"7B5ZrP\">\n<p><div class=\"ast-oembed-container\" style=\"height: 100%;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The Rehearsal - An Actor Named Thomas\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/hG1AYIw6V8Q?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p id=\"QxsaEN\">If that sounds highfalutin, it is.  The introspective series isn&#8217;t as complicated to watch as it is to describe, but becomes increasingly self-aware as it goes on.  With each episode taking wild turns into social anxieties and the nature of performance in reality television, it&#8217;s hard to know exactly what part of Fielder or the show <em>The Rehearsal<\/em> will turn over next.
