This time, Reddit user miasmadelta has shared some apparent screenshots from the 18th mainline Fire Emblem title over on r \/ fireemblem.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, this game is still unannounced, so we won&#8217;t know if they are real until we get an official look, but the screenshots do confirm the &#8220;strange red and blue&#8221; hair that Rogers mentioned on Famiboards yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>We won&#8217;t include the screenshots here, but miasmadelta has linked to them in the below Reddit post. We&#8217;re just a little under two weeks away from the release of Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, a Musou game set in the Fire Emblem: Three Houses world.  Three Houses itself has been hugely successful for Intelligent Systems on Switch.  And Fire Emblem Heroes continues to be extremely popular with fans.<\/p>\n<p>Yet there&#8217;s more to come for those that love this strategy RPG series.  Known Nintendo leaker and Nintendo World Report contributor Emily Rogers has revealed that Intelligent Systems has been working on a new Fire Emblem game for the Switch &#8211; and it&#8217;s a brand new game, not a remake or a rerelease.<\/p>\n<p>Rogers shared the details of this over on Famiboards, where she states that the game is a collaborative effort between Intelligent Systems, <strong>Warriors<\/strong> developer Koei Tecmo, and Gust &#8211; a division of Koei Tecmo and creators of the <strong>Atelier<\/strong> series.  Rogers also has some tidbits about the potential new entry:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em>Here is what I can share about the new Fire Emblem game.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8211; Upcoming Fire Emblem is a new game, not a remake.  Brand new story.<\/em><br \/><em>&#8211; Collaboration between<\/em> <strong>Intelligent Systems, Koei Tecmo<\/strong> and <strong>Gust<\/strong> (division of Koei Tecmo Holdings).<br \/><em>&#8211; Gust heavily assisted with the visuals \/ graphics.  Graphics are an improvement over &#8220;Three Houses&#8221;.<\/em><br \/><em>&#8211; Originally intended as an anniversary game to celebrate FE&#8217;s 30th anniversary.  The game has been finished for over a year.<\/em><br \/><em>&#8211; Main character (main lord) has strange red and blue hair.  His mother di lui is a dragon.<\/em><br \/><em>&#8211; New &#8220;Emblems&#8221; gimmick allows players to summon &#8220;FE characters<\/em> <strong>from the past<\/strong><em>&#8220;for your squad.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>There are some really interesting things we can pick out here &#8211; the fact that Emblems will be used to summon fan-favorite Fire Emblem characters sounds really fun.  Also, we think Gust&#8217;s lovely cel-shaded visual style would work perfectly in the Fire Emblem universe;  just look at Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream!  And, lastly, the game is already finished &#8211; and has been for a year.<\/p>\n<p>That last one is particularly interesting, because if the game is ready, and has been for more than a year, when will we be getting it?  We&#8217;re already getting a new Fire Emblem game this year with Three Hopes &#8211; albeit it isn&#8217;t a traditional strategy game &#8211; so would Nintendo release a second in 2022?
