The aircraft product is due to head into final testing this week and it&#8217;s planned it will be available for all by the end of the month.<\/p>\n<p>The product will include four new airframes: the 737-800 passenger airliner, the BBJ2, the 737-800 BCF and the 737-800 BDSF.  Each of them will have blended winglet or the split scimitar winglets, along with custom flight models, sound sets and more.<\/p>\n<p>Rob said, <em>\u201cwe **might** have one or two minor tweaks we want to make to this build before it goes out to you, but the plan is currently to release the PMDG 737-800 between 23AUG22 and 31AUG22.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Alongside this, he also shared a new 10-minute video that showcases some of the new features that will come with the 737-800 upon release.  This includes new window shades and movable cockpit lighting.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p><div class=\"ast-oembed-container\" style=\"height: 100%;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"PMDG 737-800 Has Reached the Top of Descent\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/sYDM9kwzy8M?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<h3>The EFB?<\/h3>\n<p>Another feature that is hotly anticipated is the PMDG Universal Flight Tablet.  Whilst it won&#8217;t make it for the release of the 737-800, it is planned to be in beta testing in the 2nd half of September.  Rob continued,<em> \u201cwe don&#8217;t anticipate the tablet requiring a long beta process, as it was designed from the outset to be easily expandable and scalable much like a real tablet device.  We are looking forward to showing you this new feature!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-container-2 wp-block-gallery-1 wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n<p>The 737-800 is easily the most anticipated of the airframe types of the narrow body since it is also- the most popular in the real world with airliners.
