Millions of subscribers flocked to the app on Sunday for the series premiere, but many were unable to view it due to technical issues that affected at least 3,500 users.<\/p>\n<p>As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, it seems that certain Amazon devices couldn&#8217;t keep up with the influx of viewers.  Meanwhile, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/lgbeddow\/status\/1561550915412295680?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1561550915412295680%7Ctwgr%5E2cf50b962f20e278585ee60128b6db2b1e0ffea3%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&amp;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fcms.ign.com%2Farticles%2Fc7e54da2-a8a9-4d04-942e-2801d2f5d8cf\" target=\"_blank\">HBO Max users turned to Twitter<\/a> to vent their frustrations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHouse of the Dragon is being successfully viewed by millions of HBO Max subscribers this evening,\u201d HBO said in a statement.  \u201cWe&#8217;re aware of a small portion of users attempting to connect via Fire TV devices that are having issues and are in the process of resolving for those impacted users.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The only thing that could tear down the House of the Dragon was itself. <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/HOTD?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\">#HOTD<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 HBO Max (@hbomax) <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hbomax\/status\/1561534845548777472?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\">August 22, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<section data-transform=\"object-feedback\"\/>\n<p>Right now, it looks as though those issues have largely been resolved.  Game of Thrones fans were left stranded and frustrated last night, however, when the debut episode was officially released, only to find that they simply couldn&#8217;t watch it.<\/p>\n<p>HBO Max support advised users that: \u201cTo help with the crashing issues you&#8217;re experiencing, please go to any other show\/movie on HBO Max, turn off subtitles\/captions, and then try streaming House of the Dragon again.\u201d  This reportedly worked for some users, but others remained unable to watch.  Of course, it also didn&#8217;t help those who need closed captioning to view the episode at all.<\/p>\n<p>This isn&#8217;t the first time Game of Thrones has caused Amazon Fire crashes as similar issues were reported during the final episodes of the original show.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">House of the Dragons keeps crashing the HBO MAX app on Fire TV.  Other shows don&#8217;t crash the app.  What is going on? This feels very close to its predecessor in tone and content, but immediately establishes a struggle for power around an amiable, weak-willed king, and vivid new characters to fight those battles.
