When Page didn&#8217;t come out, Punk said Page was being cowardly instead of doing &#8220;cowboy sh**.\u201d  Punk said the apology should be larger than the &#8220;disrespect&#8221; before doing a promo about Jon Moxley. <\/p>\n<p>Page wasn&#8217;t supposed to be part of the opening segment, and Punk went off script.  The top AEW star reportedly had a meeting with Khan at the show.<\/p>\n<p>While speaking with Sports Illustrated, Punk was asked if he feels creatively fulfilled in AEW.  He said yes and noted that you try not to put too much stock in internet rumors.  He said Twitter is not real life and \u201ca lie makes its way around the world twice before the truth puts his boots on or gets out of bed.\u201d<\/p>\n<aside class=\"m-in-content-ad-row l-inline not-size-b not-size-c not-size-d\"\/>\n<p>Punk continued, \u201cIf I addressed every rumor, I&#8217;d be here all day,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;I love AEW.  It&#8217;s not a competition of who loves it more or who&#8217;s the heart and soul, or who&#8217;s this and who&#8217;s that.  AEW allowed me a second chance to do what I do best, and that&#8217;s professionally wrestle.\u201d<\/p>\n<section class=\"m-in-content-recommendation m-detail--in-content-recommendation h-isolated-styles mm-component-stack--is-body-item\" style=\"--title_size_a_font_size:18;--title_size_b_font_size:18;--title_size_c_font_size:18;\">\n<p><span>Scroll to Continue<\/span><\/p>\n<\/section>\n<p>Punk commented on backstage friction in the company, noting that what has been made public is just one side of the story. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt&#8217;s one side of the story,\u201d Punk said.  \u201cMy locker room is never closed.  It&#8217;s always open.  Anybody who wants to DM [Dave] Meltzer some bulls&#8212; can come talk to me about it.  It&#8217;s not macho, stupid bulls&#8212;.  I&#8217;m an adult. That goes back to me saying Twitter isn&#8217;t [the] real world.  Twitter is a bunch of people that don&#8217;t really care about your opinion.  They want to find like-minded opinions that share their worldview.
