The four-time NFL MVP argued ahead of last season that he had been \u201cimmunized\u201d against COVID-19, which was interpreted as confirmation that he was vaccinated, until he contracted COVID-19 and was forced to miss a game due to being unvaccinated . <\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr1_ab\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>During an appearance on the \u201cJoe Rogan Experience\u201d podcast, Rodgers thanked Rogan for his advice on treating COVID-19, also noting that he discussed hearing previous guests on the show \u201ctheir own ideas about COVID.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI really appreciate you and you helping me out during that time,\u201d Rodgers told Rogan on Saturday&#8217;s episode, saying that he reached out to the podcast host about COVID at the start of the last season. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p>\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><\/p>\n<div class=\"ast-oembed-container\" style=\"height: 100%;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Aaron Rodgers Clears the Air on &quot;Immunized&quot; Controversy\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/LlZ5Zwp09FI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen title=\"Aaron Rodgers Clears the Air on \"Immunized\" Controversy\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>\u201cAnd you know, you helped me with\u2026a game plan to be ready in case I did get COVID.  And I followed it to a tee and when I got COVID, you know within 36 hours I was, you know, symptom-free and feeling amazing,\u201d Rodgers said. <\/p>\n<p>Rogan and Spotify, which has an exclusive deal to distribute his podcast, faced fierce backlash earlier this year for spreading disinformation on COVID-19 and vaccines.  Spotify added a warning to some episodes, but did not remove them. <\/p>\n<p>Rodgers also told Rogan that he calculated his now infamous \u201cimmunized\u201d response to the media last season, saying that he didn&#8217;t want to dodge the question because it would have conveyed that he wasn&#8217;t vaccinated. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI thought there&#8217;s a possibility that I say, &#8216;I&#8217;m immunized,&#8217; maybe they understand what that means, maybe they don&#8217;t.  Maybe they follow up.
