Lizzo was one of the earliest celebrities to arrive on the VMAs 2022 red carpet Sunday, and in an outfit that’s got everyone on social media talking.<\/p>\n

The \u201cTruth Hurts\u201d hitmaker, 34, seemed destined to be the night’s most-memed attendee in her voluminous navy blue Jean Paul Gaultier Couture gown.<\/p>\n

Lizzo accessorized with dramatic Lael Osness gloves and Jennifer Fisher jewels, including multi-hoop earrings and even a faux lip ring. <\/p>\n

She also matched her lipstick to her dress and gloves, opting for a deep navy pout and a slicked-back hairstyle.<\/p>\n

Lizzo’s oversized look received mixed reviews on Twitter, where viewers likened it to a garbage bag<\/a>bed linens, \u201cLittle Mermaid\u201d villain Ursula and more.<\/p>\n

An Ursula resemblance was deemed uncanny, as both rocked shades of blue, bold lips and strapless gowns. \u201cWho let lizzo dress like Ursula?\u201d a Twitter account bemoaned<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow i love lizzo but why did she just jump in a trashbag and call it a day?\u201d someone asked<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Earlier in the day, the Texan hit back at comedian Aries Spears, who came under fire for comparing Lizzo to the \u201cs\u2013t emoji\u201d and saying, \u201cYou know what kills me about women is the hypocrisy and the contradiction,\u201d while sweating profusely<\/p>\n

Her supporters were quick to defend the body positive musician <\/p>\n

Lizzo is performing her new single \u201c2 Be Loved (Am I Ready)\u201d at the awards show tonight and will most likely change into another meme-worthy ensemble later in the evening. <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
