Ahead of that, Ford has been busy releasing various teasers to stimulate Mustang fans.  On Monday, Ford even gave a preview of what is presumably the new Mustang&#8217;s sound.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-77igqf-0 bOfvBY\">Sound on, friends:<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"non-flex-video\"><iframe data-src=\"https:\/\/jalopnik.com\/embed\/inset\/iframe?id=instagram-Ch2JtNqodk2&amp;autosize=1\" autoresize=\"true\" id=\"instagram-Ch2JtNqodk2\" data-recommended=\"false\" width=\"598\" height=\"676\" class=\"core-inset lazyload\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"\" webkitallowfullscreen=\"webkitAllowFullScreen\" mozallowfullscreen=\"mozallowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-77igqf-0 bOfvBY\">This is, presumably, the Mustang&#8217;s V8, which <span>will reportedly be in the new generation, along with the four-cylinder<\/span>, just like the current Mustang models.  That said, in a <span>world of dying Dodge Chargers and Challengers<\/span> as automakers go electric, I wonder how far off an electric Mustang is, even if the Mustang Mach-E already exists, and seems popular enough. <\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-77igqf-0 bOfvBY\">It would be extremely funny, in any case, if this sound that Ford has put out is not a V8 or an internal combustion engine at all, but the work of an engineer replicating the sound of a V8 Mustang to go along with a new EV mustang  Or at least the commenters on Ford&#8217;s Instagram post would be monumentally disappointed. <\/p>\n<div class=\"bxm4mm-16 jvTtVq\">\n<div class=\"sc-1atgi65-0 sc-1atgi65-1 bdNdA-D js_commerce-inset-permalink\" data-inset-url=\"https:\/\/events.release.narrativ.com\/api\/v0\/client_redirect\/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.samsung.com%2Fus%2Fhome-appliances%2Fwashers%2Fbespoke%2Fbespoke-ultra-capacity-front-load-washer-and-electric-dryer-in-silver-steel-bndl-1657833038062%2F%3Fnrtv_cid%3D.nrtv_plchldr.%26cid%3Dopmc-ecomm-nrtiv-wash-042720-142023-theinventory-12880119%26utm_source%3Dtheinventory%26utm_medium%3Dnarrativ%26utm_campaign%3D12880119%26utm_content%3Dwash%26nrtv_as_src%3D1&amp;a=1784316495025893713&amp;uuid=f4762391-4b14-416b-b33a-7d2024ae0ed9&amp;uid_bam=1780607800286527342&amp;ar=1784321528356295304\" data-inset-category=\"CommerceInsetMobile\">\n<p>G\/O Media may get a commission<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"sc-77igqf-0 bOfvBY\">Still, we&#8217;ll presume it&#8217;s the V8 lacking evidence otherwise.  And if you listen to the end, you can hear what sounds like a manual gear shift, surely not an accident on Ford&#8217;s part, since if there&#8217;s one thing Ford wants people to think of the Mustang as, it&#8217;s manual-transmission V8, even if most people opt for an automatic with the four-cylinder EcoBoost engine.  It sounds like the seventh-gen Mustang will keep that ethos too, even though it would seem like the perfect opportunity to pivot to electric, in an industry newly awash in federal tax incentives to do so.
