{"id":63339,"date":"2022-09-02T01:08:57","date_gmt":"2022-09-02T01:08:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/harchi90.com\/a-collector-is-selling-nearly-every-gaming-console-made-in-the-last-50-years-on-ebay-for-1-million\/"},"modified":"2022-09-02T01:08:57","modified_gmt":"2022-09-02T01:08:57","slug":"a-collector-is-selling-nearly-every-gaming-console-made-in-the-last-50-years-on-ebay-for-1-million","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/harchi90.com\/a-collector-is-selling-nearly-every-gaming-console-made-in-the-last-50-years-on-ebay-for-1-million\/","title":{"rendered":"A collector is selling nearly every gaming console made in the last 50 years on eBay for $1 million"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p><b>A France-based collector has listed nearly every console that has been manufactured in the last 50 years on eBay for a grand total of 984,000 euros (approximately $978,875).<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span>The listing, uploaded to French <\/span><span>eBay<\/span><span>states that the collector is <\/span><span>selling over 2,200 consoles<\/span><span>  \u201cfrom the first to the very last\u201d along with numerous video games, statues and video game collectibles. <\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"caas-iframe-wrapper\">\n<div class=\"caas-iframe youtube\" style=\"padding-bottom:56%;\" data-type=\"youtube\">\n<blockquote data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube-nocookie.com\/embed\/NJJpgOAlyn8\"><p><noscript><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube-nocookie.com\/embed\/NJJpgOAlyn8\"><\/iframe><\/noscript><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><span>\u201cAll these consoles are accompanied by PVL, signs, statues, terminals, accessories [and] a few hundred games for all consoles combined,\u201d the listing states.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>More from NextShark: K-pop girl group Kep1er flies into Japanese debut with music video &#8216;Wing Wing&#8217;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span>The collector, whose username is Kaori30, explains that their collection went through several ups and downs as they began collecting in the early &#8217;90s and sold the entire collection in 2000. Kaori30 then continued to collect consoles until they stopped in 2011 due to a \u201c lack of time\u201d and the difficulty of finding rare items.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Some of the consoles were sold at auctions in Paris during 2015 and 2016.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>While visiting Tokyo in 2018, the collector \u201cfell back into the trap\u201d and repurchased nearly all the consoles that they had sold previously. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>More from NextShark: Kang Daniel drops his first full-length album &#8216;The Story&#8217;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span>The collector adds that the goal is to bring together \u201call the models, all the colors, the versions, the commercial limited edition, the limited editions under reservation, the editions that can only be won in the form of a contest, <\/span><span>the advertisers, the packs, the bundles [and] European\/Japan\/USA editions.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Kaori30 estimates that approximately 200 to 300 of the consoles can no longer be found and suggests that the collection could be sold to a museum. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>More from NextShark: People Can&#8217;t Get Enough of John Cho&#8217;s Hair in the Live-Action &#8216;Cowboy Bebop&#8217; Teaser<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span>Featured Image via <\/span><span>Kaori30<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Enjoy this content?
