{"id":67186,"date":"2022-09-06T01:03:59","date_gmt":"2022-09-06T01:03:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/harchi90.com\/packers-wr-allen-lazard-misses-first-practice-of-week-1-prep\/"},"modified":"2022-09-06T01:03:59","modified_gmt":"2022-09-06T01:03:59","slug":"packers-wr-allen-lazard-misses-first-practice-of-week-1-prep","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/harchi90.com\/packers-wr-allen-lazard-misses-first-practice-of-week-1-prep\/","title":{"rendered":"Packers WR Allen Lazard misses first practice of Week 1 prep"},"content":{"rendered":"<div itemprop=\"articleBody\">\n<p>The Green Bay Packers returned to the practice field on Monday \u2013 the first of prep for Week 1 against the Minnesota Vikings \u2013 without No.  1 wide receiver Allen Lazard.<\/p>\n<p>Lazard was the only player not to practice in some capacity during Monday&#8217;s padded work, per <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/mikespofford\/status\/1566851620771708928\" target=\"_blank\">Mike Spofford of the team&#8217;s official site<\/a>.  He rehabbed off to the side.<\/p>\n<p>Buy Packers Tickets<\/p>\n<p>It sounds like Lazard is headed towards a questionable labeling for the regular season opener.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think Allen is doing better, but we&#8217;ll see, as the week progresses, where he&#8217;s at,\u201d coach Matt LaFleur said.<\/p>\n<p>Lazard, who caught eight touchdown passes during a career year in 2021, sat out for undisclosed reasons last Wednesday as well.<\/p>\n<p>The Packers don&#8217;t have to provide an official injury report until Wednesday, so more on Lazard&#8217;s status probably won&#8217;t be known for a few days.<\/p>\n<p>Lazard, Randall Cobb and Sammy Watkins are expected to be the starting receivers to open the 2022 season.<\/p>\n<p>Although Lazard&#8217;s availability could be in question for Sunday, LaFleur did say the Packers are \u201chopeful\u201d that rookie Christian Watson will play against the Vikings.
