There have been four weeks of the 2022 college football season and the results continue to be the same for No. 3 Ohio State: wins. After the season opener against highly-ranked Notre Dame, the Buckeyes won two straight contests against Group of 5 programs before kicking off Big Ten play this week. Facing a conference opponent didn’t slow the Scarlet and Gray, who rolled to a 52-21 victory against Wisconsin at Ohio Stadium on Saturday night.

For the second straight week, Ohio State got the ball first and moved quickly down the field to score. The Buckeyes then went on to score on the next four possessions, including three more touchdowns. Before the Badges knew it, the game was at 28-0 and, given the nature of the UW offense, any comeback chance went out the window.

A win this one, where the Scarlet and Gray managed 539 total yards and put up 52 points while allowing just 296 yards and 21 points, means things went well for the home team. It also requires a number of players to show up and play well for the victors. Some of the Ohio State players are to the point where it’s a surprise when they don’t have good games, while others are still working to get to that level.

Bucknuts went back through the game tape and found the Buckeyes who really stepped up against Wisconsin.
