A maniac smashed the windows and lights of a police car parked on a Midtown street in broad daylight, disturbing video posted to Twitter<\/a> shows. <\/p>\n

The suspect \u2013 identified by police as Uchechukwu Godwin, 23 \u2013 used a metal pipe to repeatedly strike the turret lights of the traffic cruiser parked on Broadway near West 36th Street around 11:40 am Wednesday, according to cops and video footage. <\/p>\n

As the rampage unfolded, the footage shows pedestrians on the sidewalk walking past, as well as someone passing on a scooter, followed by another person on a bike. <\/p>\n

Uchechukwu Godwin, 23, used a metal pipe to repeatedly strike the turret lights of the traffic cruiser parked on Broadway near West 36th Street late Wednesday afternoon, cops said.<\/figcaption>

Godwin was arrested at Broadway and West 35th Street a short time afterward, cops said.<\/p>\n

He was charged with criminal mischief, obstructing governmental administration, auto stripping, criminal possession of a weapon and disorderly conduct, cops said. <\/p>\n

Godwin has previously been busted for grand larceny, criminal mischief and graffiti, according to police sources.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
