Just like anyone else who&#8217;s met literal royalty, Teller was a bit disarmed during his first meeting with the Prince of Wales and his wife, Kate Middleton \u2014 which caused him to make a royal whoopsie.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n<p>\tIn his recent appearance on <em>The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon<\/em>Teller relayed his experience meeting the royal couple at the London premiere of <em>Top Gun: Maverick<\/em>and it was nothing short of hilarious.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"\/>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n<p>\tTeller explained, \u201cThey give you, like, a kind of rules, like dos and don&#8217;ts.  And there&#8217;s, you know, a lot of etiquette, which deservingly so.  I kind of had a sheet to prep to make sure I didn&#8217;t mess it up.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n<p>\tFallon held up a photo of the occasion, in which Teller is shaking hands with a surprised-looking Prince William while Kate is laughing and Jennifer Connelley is looking mildly concerned.  Fallon says, \u201cCan you tell us the story of what&#8217;s going on with this?\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n<p>\t\u201cI think right off the bat I messed up,\u201d Teller admitted.  \u201cYou&#8217;re not supposed to extend your hand right off the bat unless they do, but\u2026 I felt the <em>vibe<\/em>, so I was like, &#8216;I&#8217;m going in, I&#8217;m going in,&#8217;\u201d Teller explained while Fallon cracked up behind his desk. I just, I blacked out,\u201d he gushed, adding, \u201cBut I think he&#8217;s a lifelong fan now.\u201d  Fallon playfully responded, \u201cNow he has to be, yeah.
