Montell Jordan is \u201cstill processing\u201d the shocking death of his longtime friend and collaborator Coolio.<\/p>\n

The \u201cThis Is How We Do It\u201d singer, 53, got emotional while talking to Page Six about the sudden passing of the \u201cGangsta’s Paradise\u201d rapper on Thursday night.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat’s my friend \u2026 that’s my friend. His kids are my friends. His daughters, his sons, his ex-wife is a very, very good friend of ours, \u201dhe exclusively tells us.<\/p>\n

Jordan says he last saw Coolio on Sept. 22 during an \u201cI Love the 90’s\u201d tour stop in Frederick, Md.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was with him last Thursday,\u201d the \u201cGet It on Tonite\u201d singer says. \u201cWe do concerts together, so yeah, it’s heartbreaking.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jordan tells us he and Coolio saw each other in passing backstage while coming in and out of their respective dressing rooms, and jus told each other, \u201c’Hey, what’s up? How you doing?’\u201d<\/p>\n

The R&B artist says he never expected that to be the last time he would speak to his friend.<\/p>\n

\u201cI’ve been with him for weeks and for months now and I did not know \u2014 and still don’t know \u2014 the circumstances behind his passing, but I did not see anything that would have given an indication that he was ill or that anything happened to him,\u201d Jordan says.<\/p>\n

Coolio was declared dead on Wednesday at age 59 after he was found lying on the bathroom floor of a pal’s home in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n

EMTs reportedly tried to conduct CPR for 45 minutes, and it is suspected that he passed away of a cardiac arrest. An official cause of death has not yet been exposed.<\/p>\n

Jordan, who was featured on Coolio’s song \u201cHomeboy\u201d off the rapper’s 1997 album \u201cMy Soul,\u201d says their close bond transcended music.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt goes beyond the song that we did together,\u201d he tells Page Six. \u201cWe’ve run around in circles of each other in life for 20-something years, almost 30 years.\u201d<\/p>\n

He adds, \u201cThat’s my friend and I love him and I haven’t fully processed that.\u201d<\/p>\n
