Lil Nas X candidly told Atlanta concertgoers in the middle of a show Thursday that needed a bathroom break.<\/p>\n

\u201cI’m backstage, and this is, like, not a part of the show, but I’m taking a mean s\u2013t, so please forgive me,\u201d the rapper said, noting that he only needed \u201ca minute or two \u201d on the toilet.<\/p>\n

\u201cI’ll be right back,\u201d the Grammy winner, 23, promised in a viral video filmed by an audience member.<\/p>\n

On Friday, the songwriter took to Twitter to clarify that he wasn’t kidding about delaying to drop a deuce.<\/p>\n

\u201clmao people really thought i was joking,\u201d he tweeted<\/a>. \u201ci was literally back there dropping demons into that toilet.\u201d<\/p>\n

The \u201cOld Town Road\u201d singer began his \u201cLong Live Montero\u201d tour last month, making headlines for his reaction to \u201cstreet ministry\u201d protesters outside of his Boston show on Sept. 18.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo people [sic] were protesting my concert last night,\u201d Lil Nas X wrote via TikTok. \u201cSo we brought them pizza.\u201d<\/p>\n

The American Music Award winner went on to write that \u201cone of the homophobes was hot\u201d and he \u201caccidentally fell in love with one of the homophobic protesters.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lil Nas X, who came out in June 2019, has dealt with hate and online bullying over his sexuality.<\/p>\n

In March 2021, he defended the \u201cMontero (Call Me By Your Name)\u201d video in which he twerked on Satan, tweeting that he did not want to \u201ccater to\u201d children with his work.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is a mass shooting every week that our government does nothing to stop,\u201d he tweeted<\/a> at the time. \u201cme sliding down a cgi pole isn’t what’s destroying society.<\/p>\n

\u201ci spent my entire teenage years hating myself because of the s\u2013t y’all preached would happen to me because i was gay,\u201d the musician continued<\/a>. \u201cso i hope u are mad, stay mad, feel the same anger you teach us to have towards ourselves.\u201d<\/p>\n

Amid the controversy, Adam Lambert, Elizabeth Banks, FKA Twigs and more celebrities praised the daring music video.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
