Coolio appeared happy and healthy in photos taken just DAYS before his sudden death at age 59 as he posed with a female fan in a Texas airport<\/h2>\n

Coolio has been seen in new images taken on September 23, which was just days before he died at the age of 59.<\/p>\n

On Friday photos of the Gangsta’s Paradise rapper showed him happy and healthy in a cap and sunglasses with a black-and-beige zip-up jacket while in an airport in Houston, Texas.<\/p>\n

He was smiling as he stood next to a woman named Mika Janday.<\/p>\n

The image was taken only hours before his final performance in Cypress, Texas.<\/p>\n

She took to Instagram to share about her experience with the entertainer, describing him as ‘cool and humble.’<\/p>\n

Janday said he was kind enough to invite her and a friend to his show in Cypress, Texas, and offered to put them on his VIP list. <\/p>\n

That show last Friday, in which he performed alongside Vanilla Ice, would turn out to be his last.<\/p>\n

The musician, whose real name is Artis Leon Ivey Jr, was found unresponsive on a bathroom floor of a friend’s house in Los Angeles at around 4pm on Wednesday. <\/p>\n

In the wake of the unexpected loss, 90s rapper Vanilla Ice spoke out about his friend.<\/p>\n

Ice – real name Robert Matthew Van Winkle – told TMZ he lost sleep Wednesday night over the news and was ‘still in shock and freaking out’ by Thursday morning.<\/p>\n

‘My heart goes out to all the family. I’m truly devastated. He was a great friend,’ he told the publication.<\/p>\n

The two music artists had spent the last six years touring their I Love The 90s show for audiences around the world, performing as recently as last week in Cyprus, Texas. <\/p>\n

Robert, known for his 1990 hit Ice Ice Baby, said during the Friday night concert Coolio came onstage and freestyled.<\/p>\n

After the show they spent time in his dressing room with Coolio showing no signs of bad health. ‘See you tomorrow, homie,’ was the last thing Coolio said to him.<\/p>\n

EMTs pronounced Coolio dead on the scene and an autopsy is now underway to establish the official cause of death – though law enforcement sources shared that ‘no drugs or drug paraphernalia were found at the scene’ and they do not suspect foul play.<\/p>\n

Paramedics suspected he a cardiac arrest, according to the star’s longtime manager, Jarez. <\/p>\n

Another collaborator of the hip hop star, actress Michelle Pfeiffer, paid tribute to him on Instagram on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Pfeiffer, 64, shared the music video for Gangsta’s Paradise after working with the musician on the video, with the song being the cornerstone of the soundtrack for her 1995 film Dangerous Minds.<\/p>\n

The track topped the US Billboard Hot 100 for three weeks and won Coolio the Grammy award for best rap solo performance in 1996.<\/p>\n
