After halftime of “Sunday Night Football,” the Kansas City Chiefs hold a 28-17 lead over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Chiefs got things started quickly, with Patrick Mahomes finding Travis Kelce for a 16-yard score after Rachaad White fumbled on the opening kickoff. He later added another touchdown pass to Clyde Edwards-Helaire, on a play that had to be seen to be believed. Kansas City also scored twice on the ground, with CEH taking a read-option handoff from Jerick McKinnon for a 3-yard score early on, and tight end Noah Gray executing a surprise sneak from 1-yard out late in the second quarter after the Chiefs were set up with good field position by a L’Jarius Sneed strip-sack.

Tampa’s offense did not get all that much going for most of the half, with the exception of one drive where Tom Brady found Mike Evans for multiple big plays, including the team’s first touchdown. The Bucs’ second score came on their final drive of the half, with Brady converting multiple third downs and eventually finding Evans again — this time on a fade from the 1-yard line after Cameron Brate had gotten the team down to the goal line by drawing a pass interference penalty.

Will the Chiefs hang on and get back in the win column, or will the Bucs stage a second-half comeback? We’ll find out soon enough. In the meantime, keep it locked to our live blog throughout the rest of the evening as we update you with stats, scores, and highlights.
