Selma Blair reveals she fainted before a Dancing With The Stars rehearsal as she struggles to cope with multiple sclerosis: ‘I pass out a lot’<\/h2>\n

Selma Blair has always been open about her battle with chronic illness.<\/p>\n

And the 50-year-old actress revealed to ET that she once fainted before a Dancing With The Stars rehearsal, due to multiple sclerosis.<\/p>\n

‘The thing is, I pass out a lot,’ she admitted to the publication, adding that her service dog Scout is there in every times of need.<\/p>\n

Blair elaborated, ‘It’s part of the reason I have Scout and it doesn’t mean I lose consciousness [or] it’s a whole ambulance experience.<\/p>\n

‘It’s something that I lose my vision, gravity pulls me down and I’m very disoriented and gone for a spell.’<\/p>\n

She added that her furry companion, often seen accompanying her while out and about, is ‘kind of there to also catch me, you know, make the ground a little closer with his back.’<\/p>\n

The mom-of-one’s DWTS partner Sasha Farber shared that in that particular incident, Selma sent a text explaining she had fainted, but wanted to move forward with their scheduled rehearsal.<\/p>\n

The duo anticipated a two-hour rehearsal, but instead Selma pushed through and they perfected moves for five hours.<\/p>\n

The Legally Blonde star also said about her condition, ‘It’s just something that I have to be honest with where I’m coming from but also know, like, “Wait, I really have this.” It comes and goes.’<\/p>\n

Selma’s latest Instagram post is a carousel of behind-the-scenes images from the dance competition.<\/p>\n

Sharing with her 3 million followers she captioned the upload, ‘I found friends, family, and love when I broke out of jail last night\u2026,’ referencing her routine to the song Jailhouse Rock.<\/p>\n

The movie star donned a festive black and white sequined mini dress for the number, matching her professional dance companion.<\/p>\n

During her performance she did a cartwheel and splits, drawing visible emotion from longtime friend Sarah Michelle Gellar, who watched from the audience. <\/p>\n
