{"id":89049,"date":"2022-10-06T18:27:02","date_gmt":"2022-10-06T18:27:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/harchi90.com\/wwe-sets-new-commentary-teams-for-raw-smackdown-nxt-exclusive\/"},"modified":"2022-10-06T18:27:02","modified_gmt":"2022-10-06T18:27:02","slug":"wwe-sets-new-commentary-teams-for-raw-smackdown-nxt-exclusive","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/harchi90.com\/wwe-sets-new-commentary-teams-for-raw-smackdown-nxt-exclusive\/","title":{"rendered":"WWE Sets New Commentary Teams for Raw, SmackDown, NXT (EXCLUSIVE)"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t<strong>UPDATED<\/strong>: WWE is shaking up their commentary teams, <em>variety<\/em> has learned exclusively. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n<p>\tBeginning with this week&#8217;s season premiere episode of \u201cSmackDown,\u201d the commentary team for the shows will be as follows: <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n<p>\tOn \u201cSmackDown,\u201d Michael Cole and Wade Barrett will be the main commentators, with Barrett moving over from the \u201cNXT\u201d commentary team.  Samantha Irvin will serve as the ring announcer, with Kayla Braxton and Megan Morant serving as backstage interviewers. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n<p>\tAt \u201cMonday Night Raw,\u201d Kevin Patrick and Corey Graves will the commentary team.  Patrick has worked as a backstage correspondent, a play-by-play commentator for \u201cWWE Main Event,\u201d and the host of \u201cRaw Talk.\u201d  Mike Rome will be the ring announcer.  Cathy Kelley and Byron Saxton will conduct onscreen interviews.  Kelley is returning to WWE after leaving the company in 2020. Saxton has been working on the \u201cRaw\u201d commentary desk along with Graves and Jimmy Smith of late. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n<p>\tSmith will be exiting WWE.  The commentator posted the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jimmysmithmma\/status\/1578074423835480064?s=20&amp;t=uQBt7AAM2AhEbHHvwhIM-A\" target=\"_blank\">following statement on Twitter<\/a>, \u201cJust wanted to say, now that the story is officially out, that my time with the WWE is officially done.  Had a lot of fun and met some great people.  Really and truly blown away by the acceptance from the WWE fans!  You folks make it work every week and your enthusiasm was amazing!\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n<p>\tVic Joseph and WWE Hall of Famer Booker T will be the commentators for \u201cNXT\u201d going forward.  In addition to his stellar in-ring career, Booker has been on the commentary teams of \u201cRaw\u201d and \u201cSmackDown\u201d in the past in addition to working as a panelist on pay-per-view pre-shows.
