Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd delighted \u201cBack to the Future\u201d fans when they were reunited at the weekend, 37 years after the release of the sci-fi comedy.\n <\/p>\n

\n

The pair, who respectively starred as time-traveling high school student Marty McFly and eccentric \u201cDoc\u201d Emmett Brown in the 1985 blockbuster and its two sequels, appeared together at New York Comic Con on Saturday to speak on a panel about the modern classic’s legacy .\n <\/p>\n

\n

Lloyd, 83, made sure to document the moving moment by sharing a picture of the pair embracing on stage at Comic Con on his Instagram Stories. The caption read: \u201cThank you @newyorkcomiccon you were wonderful.\u201d\n <\/p>\n

\n

The event made for a reunion of epic proportions and fans couldn’t contain their excitement after footage and photos of the beloved duo began circulating online.\n <\/p>\n

\u201cMichael J Fox and Christopher Lloyd reunited at Comic Con is all the wholesome content you need on a Sunday,\u201d one person tweeted.\n <\/p>\n

Another wrote: \u201cIf you were a teenager in 1985, then Michael J. Fox was your guy. Marty McFly in Back to the Future is the coolest teenager in cinema history. Watching him hug Christopher Lloyd like this is so beautiful.\u201d\n <\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Fox is set to be honored by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences at this year’s Governors Awards for his contributions to film and his efforts to help cure Parkinson’s disease.\n <\/p>\n

\n

The 61-year-old star, who was diagnosed with the disease in 1991 at the age of 29, founded the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research in 2000.\n <\/p>\n

\n

He will receive the Academy’s Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award at the event scheduled for November 19.\n <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
