style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aubrey Plaza recently opened up about how she \u201cfreaked out\u201d Robert De Niro<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">  while making the 2016 movie during a London Film Festival ScreenTalk session, Variety<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">  reports.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"primary-cli cli cli-text \">\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the movie, Plaza portrayed Lenore, a college senior whose goal<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">  is to have sex with a \u201cfreshman, alumnae and a professor\u201d to complete a self-created \u201ctrifecta.\u201d  When Lenore discovers that De Niro&#8217;s Dick Kelly is a professor, she pursues him intensely.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cli cli-embed cli-embed--full-width 400;\">\u201cBy the time he&#8217;d show up, I&#8217;m in character,\u201d Plaza said.  \u201cMy character had one goal: To have sex with him.  I was acting totally insane as the character because we were about to shoot.  I don&#8217;t think he understood that wasn&#8217;t me.  You&#8217;d think he would because he&#8217;s an actor and an amazing one.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"primary-cli cli cli-text \">\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Plaza also admitted that she \u201cdidn&#8217;t really have a relationship with him off camera,\u201d which probably made their interactions even more awkward.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"primary-cli cli cli-text \">\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Although Plaza doesn&#8217;t specify what she did around De Niro, she did reveal that one of her agents \u201cheard Bob&#8217;s a little freaked out\u201d by her. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"primary-cli cli cli-text \">\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But it seems De Niro finally met the real Plaza during a cast and crew luncheon in which the \u201cEmily The Criminal\u201d star was out of character. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"primary-cli cli cli-text \">\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cI showed up, and he&#8217;s like, &#8216;Who are you, sweetheart?&#8217;  and after that, he was normal,\u201d Plaza said.  \u201cAt first, I think I came on really strong. Meyer at the time.  \u201cAnd then printed it out, and I put it in a book of zen Buddhism and then I slipped it under his trailer door, with a little note that said like, &#8216;Happy shooting&#8217; or something.
