Although Curtis said she was &#8220;definitively&#8221; done with the role, Kimmel brought out a document for her to sign to confirm it.<\/p>\n<p>Before signing, Curtis said: &#8220;I should call my lawyer first before I sign anything,&#8221; while the audience yelled for her not to sign it.  But she put pen to paper, hammering home that her version of Laurie Strode won&#8217;t return in a future movie.<\/p>\n<p><div class=\"ast-oembed-container\" style=\"height: 100%;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Jamie Lee Curtis Confirms IN WRITING That This is Her Last Halloween Movie Ever\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/8h2R5z-fkug?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p>Leaving the franchise behind hasn&#8217;t been an easy decision to make for the &#8220;Freaky Friday&#8221; and &#8220;Knives Out&#8221; star, as the actor also explained that she&#8217;s been &#8220;weeping&#8221; over her exit for quite some time.<\/p>\n<p>Curtis said: &#8220;I&#8217;ve been weeping for about a month now trying to figure out how to say goodbye to all of this.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s easy to see why Curtis has been so emotional about saying goodbye to Laurie and Michael since the franchise has been a huge part of her life for over 40 years.  But thankfully, this isn&#8217;t the end of the actor&#8217;s career. <\/p>\n<p>Curtis also appeared recently in A24&#8217;s &#8220;Everything Everywhere All at Once,&#8221; opposite Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan, and James Hong.
