The San Diego Padres and the Los Angeles Dodgers will continue their National League Division Series with Game 2 on Wednesday night. The Dodgers won Game 1 by a 5-3 final on Tuesday, taking a 1-0 lead in the best-of-five series. At stake is a chance to play either the Philadelphia Phillies or the Atlanta Braves for the NL pennant.

The Padres will start Yu Darvish in Game 2. He posted a 3.10 ERA (121 ERA+) and a 5.32 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 30 regular season starts. Darvish most recently made a start in the Wild Card Series against the New York Mets, tossing seven innings of one-run ball in a victory. This will be his ninth career playoff outing.

The Dodgers will counter with Clayton Kershaw. In 22 regular season appearances, he accumulated a 2.28 ERA (184 ERA+) and a 5.96 strikeout-to-walk ratio. Kershaw will be making his first start of the playoffs, but hardly the first of his career. In fact, this will be the 38th time he’s appeared in the postseason, the second-most in franchise history. (Former closer Kenley Jansen appeared in 57 games with the Dodgers.)
