The PS5 Pulse 3D headset is the most highly recommended headset for the PS5 console. That’s not very surprising, give the fact that it’s developed by Sony specifically for the PS5. This is a very comfortable headset intended for lengthy gaming marathons thanks to its extra large earcups with oversized foam pads and a dual-layered headband design to keep the weight off the top of your head. Each earcup houses a 40mm neodymium driver that does a good job of providing crisp, clear audio with plenty of bass. It works extremely well with the PS5’s Tempest 3D virtual surround sound audio. The PS5 Pulse pairs wirelessly via a USB dongle, which is completely plug and play with no pairing required. When you run out of juice, you can plug it into the PS5’s USB Type-C port for your fast charging needs.
We reviewed this headset and, like the very impressive DualSense controller, the quality and features noticeably enhanced our PS5’s “next-gen” experience. There are other less expensive headsets that will get the job done, but the Pulse is the perfect PS5 complement without cutting any corners.
