DRAFT: Blackhawks Select Frank Nazar with No. 13 Overall Picks

With their second pick in the opening round of the 2022 NHL Draft, the Chicago Blackhawks selected Frank Nazar, a forward from the US National Team Development Program, with the No. 13 overall picks.

Chicago acquired the No. 13 overall pick and the No. 66 overall pick from Montreal during the first round in exchange for forward Kirby Dach.

Nazar, a 5-foot-10, 185-pound native of Mt. Clemens, Mich., 105 points (43G, 62A) in 80 total games with the US U18 program last season. He also skated in six games for the US at the U18 World Junior Championships, scoring nine points (3G, 6A) as the Americans took silver. Nazar will attend the University of Michigan in the fall to continue his development.
