Vikings vs. Giants score: Live updates, game stats, highlights, analysis for Christmas Eve showdown

The Minnesota Vikings are hosting the New York Giants on Christmas Eve, and hold a 10-7 lead at halftime.

A week after pulling off the greatest comeback in NFL history, the Vikings jumped out to a 10-0 lead in this contest, thanks to the exploits of Justin Jefferson and TJ Hockenson, who combined to catch 12 passes for 123 yards and a touchdown ( by Hockenson) in the first half. Jefferson also became the Vikings’ all-time leader in single-season receiving yards, surpassing a record previously held by the legendary Randy Moss.

The Giants struggled to move the ball on their first few drives of the game, which ended in a pair of punts, and then a lost fumble. But they got back on track with a 10-play, 69-yard drive that ended with Daniel Jones escaping from pressure and finding Isaiah Hodgins in the front of the end zone for a score. Hodgins racked up five receptions for 63 yards and that touchdown prior to halftime. New York nearly came away with a big defensive play toward the end of the half, but a pass interference penalty wiped it off the board.

So, can the Vikings hold onto their lead, or will the Giants pull off the upset? We’ll find out soon enough. In the meantime, keep it locked to our live blog throughout the afternoon as we update you with stats, scores and highlights.
