Recently, Emelia Hartford’s YouTube channel crushed Chevrolet’s own quarter-mile time for the 2023 Corvette Z06. With an astonishing time of 10.51 seconds at 130.11 MPH, she proved that the C8 Z06 is the supercar killer.
It would at least appear this way on paper. However, in the real world, there are always surprises. With that in mind, Emelia takes it upon herself to show that the Z06 is deserving of the supercar killer title by racing two of Italy’s best supercars.
Bring It On Supercars
Emelia tells us that she’s incredibly excited about this video because Chevy has given her the opportunity to do whatever she wants with the Z06. Emelia immediately understands the importance and responsibility of the task and tells us she’s pitting the Corvette against her very own Ferrari 458.
She smiles and tells us that last minute, she’s also decided to bring a Lamborghini Huracan Evo.
On Paper, The Lamborghini Huracan Evo Is At The Top
Beginning with the Lamborghini, Emelia tells us that the car weighs in at 3,400 lbs and pumps out 600 hp for $260,000. If placing bets, the Lamborghini is the way to go between the three, basing that theory solely on the numbers.
Next, she jumps to her Ferrari 458 which comes in at 3,200 lbs with 570 hp which she says is a $250,000 car. Lastly, and most importantly for this episode is the C8 which comes in much heavier at 3,700 lbs but also has the most power at 670 hp. This spec only comes in at $160,000 which is $100,000 less than the Evo.
Surprise Upset for the Lamborghini And Ferrari
Emelia decides to first race a 458. The race is not even close. The Corvette finishes the strip almost two seconds faster. Rolling starts have no impact as the American car outpowers the prancing horse. Clearly being faster, the Corvette is now pitted against the raging bull.
Surprisingly again, the Corvette demolishes the Lamborghini in both dig and roll start races. Emelia decides to finally do a fair race which puts the Ferrari 15 car lengths and the Lamborghini 3 car lengths ahead of the Corvette. Surely, the Corvette couldn’t win this.
Well, Emelia catches up and since the cars are all in a line she decides to “slow down for the Lambo” to get a nice picture of all 3 cars. We would definitely call that a win for the title, supercar killer.
